Goodbye Summer 17

So the Summer months are pretty much over *cries* and I'm not quite ready to start thinking about wearing jumpers or real shoes again yet. Instead I thought I'd document Summer on here, because I had a moment of "what did I even do?!", so here goes!

/ days in Manchester / coffee dates in cute places / bike rides with my dad / ate a lot of food /

~ became obsessed with these pom pom earrings & wore them all the time (will also continue to*) ~

/ went to Croatia! honestly the best trip - you can see more/read about it here, here and here! /

/ went to my first ball as part of an amazing team at Smartworks / PASSED MY DAMN DRIVING TEST!? / played junk yard golf / ate more food /

/ turned 25 and had the best weekend ever! minus the hangover - definitely didn't grow any wiser *flashbacks to vodka being poured in mouth* *shudders* /

/ celebrated 3 years with my love! /

/ went on many a night out /

/ had some wonderful brunches /

/ chopped all my hair off! /

/ experienced my first ever Pride parade <3 /

/ I went to F.R.I.E.N.D.S fest and got to chill in Monicas/Joey & Chandlers apartment! As well as recreate the opening credits eeeee /

/ celebrated our beautiful friends wedding /

/ celebrated Roushs 26th! /

/ and did other things like parks on sunny days / baby shower / also that the food at Altrincham Markets are worth the hype! (the crowds arn't though) /

So those were my highlights! I know everrryone says it, but I seriously don't know where this year has gone, let alone Summer! Its crazy, fastest year by far. I'm still not ready to accept its under 4 months until Christmas (vom) AS IF? HOW?!

Here's to Autumn/Winter...really, how am I saying those words?!

HAPPY BDAY JADE // DAY TO NIGHT IN MANCHESTER

As it was my best friends birthday on Tuesday, we went to town and did what we do best - eat and drink ofc! We started off in Solita and drank candyfloss cocktails and all the carbs, then for drinks at Turtle Bay for, well, more cocktails (come on happy hour!).

I had the "Big Manc" and it was, well yeah, BIG! You definitely can't pick this up and eat it! I somehow managed to have it all and had a big old food baby the rest of the day #worthit. Oh and note to self * always upgrade to pizza fries, I was v jealous of the girls food :')

It was my first time at Turtle Bay & I have to say, I loved it! Good cocktails and everywhere was so colourful and full of pretty lights, next time I'll have to try the food because that looks amazing too!

We then went on to PLY where I've been wanting to go and eat pizza for ages, however there was no pizza this night, just drinks! It was really chilled in here and I wana go back asap and eat because the pizza is supposed to be AMAZING.

To finish the night we went to the Alchemist for a fancy little drink. It was low lit and cosy on the sofas and the perfect end to a fun day/night, we must have spent a good 9 hours in town!?

All in all, the loveliest day for Jade's 25th, HBD JADEY!

A day at Cat Cafe Manchester

Heyooo! So last month we went to Cat Cafe for the first time for my friends birthday and I didn't know quite what to expect...but it was really good! If you didn't know, its basically a cafe were there are, well, cats obvi. It's £12 for an hour (so the prices all depend in how long you want to spend there) but you get unlimited drinks whilst you're there and they have a hugeee selection, I had an amazing almond milk hot chocolate with marshmallows mmmm! (amongst many other drinks, girl gotta get her moneys worth!)

We booked in advance so I'm not sure on how it is just to walk in, but I would recommend booking as then its all done and paid for. They give you little paper slippers to wear which I loved, after a day of walking around town in boots there was nothing better than being able to slip them off and chill for an hour! Inside is super cosy with loads of couches, cushions, cute seating areas on the floor and then the cats of course! I'm not the biggest cat lover but they are cute, and they just go about minding their own business. All the staff were lovely as well, it was just a really nice place to spend an hour or so, I found it really relaxing being there actually which I didn't expect, I thought it would just be a regular cafe with some cats, which I guess it is, but they make it feel really homely chilled!

Overall I was impressed, I think its nice if you want to do something a bit different or have an occasion or, you know, you just really love cats! It was also really good not having to worry about paying for drinks because they're technically already paid for! Definitely worth a visit, it's situated in the Northern Quarter for anyone wondering. Let me know if you have been and what you think of it!
